Cayucos Beautiful is made up of Cayucos citizens interested in preserving and enhancing the natural beauty of Cayucos and surrounding areas. Our goals are:

  • To determine and research projects which might contribute to community beauty or meet a specific need.
  • To promote projects which contribute to the aesthetic enhancement of the community.
  • To serve as a catalyst organization for community beautification


Cayucos Beautiful meetings are held monthly at various members' homes. Cayucos "Beautification Awards" are given yearly to those persons who strive to make pleasant surroundings in the community.


Cayucos Beautification Awards


Three awards per year will be considered although should there be no selections nominated no awards will be given. This award is given to show appreciation to those who continue to make pleasant surroundings in our community that is inviting to visitors and residents alike.

Awards Criteria Standards are:

  • Improving existing residential property.
  • Improving existing business property.
  • Beautifying or maintaining public property: on ramps, public walks and other property such as the triangle at Old Creek Road.

After selection by the committee the winner and/or winners will be honored at a Cayucos Beautiful Pot Luck to be held in October and given a plaque of gratitude for their work.

Cayucos Beautiful presents two awards every year to the best Christmas light displays. This year's awards went to Carol Kramer and Bill Shea of 2795 Richard, and Mike and Donna Lund, 2649 Orville. Teams of members of Cayucos Beautiful drove about Cayucos searching for the best light displays and voted on the best candidates.
